  • Overview

    Assistant administrators work across all sectors, supporting organisations by carrying out routine administrative tasks under supervision. They help maintain efficient operations through duties such as data entry, using digital systems, and assisting team members to meet deadlines and quality standards. They interact with colleagues, managers, and external stakeholders, may liaise across departments, and must be flexible, responsive to feedback, and able to handle sensitive information while supporting organisational needs.

  • What will I study?

    Some of the modules you will study include:

    • Communicate professionally with stakeholders using various methods such as email, phone, and meetings.
    • Support meetings, events, and day-to-day operations while following organisational procedures.
    • Manage and process data securely using digital systems, ensuring accuracy and reporting issues.
    • Assist teams in meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards, escalating problems when needed.
    • Plan workload, understand organisational priorities, and maintain continuous professional development.
  • Entry Requirements

    Pass initial assessment or have Grade 2 or above in GCSE or Level 1/2 Functional Skills in English and Maths.

    This apprenticeship is only available for candidates aged 16-24. Exceptions to this are set out in the Department for Education Apprenticeship funding rules.

    On-programme: Assessor workplace visits and assessments

    End Point Assessment:  Apprentice Showcase, Professional Discussion and Practical Observation.
