Overivew
There are no specific entry requirements however we would ask that students have basic IT skills and an interest in laser cutting.
This course is suitable for students who have a basic knowledge of engineering and/or are willing to learn the basics of engineering.

What will I study?
During the course, students will be taught how to use the following operational commands and procedures:
- How to setup the Laser Cutter.
- How to Add DXF file to the Lightburn software.
- How to confidently use the features of the software.
- How to setup the drawing file to reduce waste.
- How to engrave and cut.
- Understanding different types and heights of materials.
- General maintenance of the laser cutter.

How will the course be delivered?
In a CAD room with computer and laser cutter.

What will I get at the end of the course?
Be able to fully use laser cutter with different materials.
Use Lightburn software.
Be able to maintain Laser Cutter.

What can I do next?
Advance to CAD course to produce 2D files.
Advance to 3D printing course.
