Who is the course for?
The course is aimed at delegates working within a care establishment where moving and handling is seen as part of their everyday role.
How will the course be delivered?
The course will involve both theory and practical activities which will demonstrate how to assist individuals from sitting and lying position as well as using practical equipment such as slide sheets, wheel chairs and walking frames to assist with mobility.
What will I study?
The course will cover:
- Rights and responsibilities
- Legislation relating to moving and handling
- Risk assessment
- Practical demonstration/observation/discussion and participation
