The successful candidate will possess a PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification. You should have a Level 4/5 subject specialist qualification in ESOL or a willingness to work towards as part of your development.
Experience of teaching ESOL is essential (ideally including a variety of settings such as FE, international, commercial, Job Centre Plus or similar provision from outside agencies) as is an understanding of the national SFL/ESOL agenda and a commitment to achieving targets in line with that agenda.
You should also have proven organisational ability, work well as part of a team and be willing to work flexibly, including evenings as well as working independently away from the College campus.
