Job Description

The salon is looking for an apprentice to start work as soon as possible and begin apprenticeship training in September at Blackburn College.

As an Apprentice you will receive training in all aspects of Hairdressing and will assist the stylists in the day to day running of the salon.

You will be expected to:

  •          Meet and greet clients
  •          Assisting stylists
  •          Reception duties
  •          Cleaning duties
  •          Train and shadow

Training from the college and your employer will comprise of:

  •          Styling and finishing hair
  •          Setting and dressing hair
  •          Cut hair using basic techniques
  •          Cut hair using a combination of techniques
  •          Colour and lighten hair using a range of techniques
  •          Consultation
  •          Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
  •          Perming and neutralising hair

There may be at least one late night per week and Saturday work.
