Primary Role

Finton Doyle Accountants and Business Advisors located in Bamber Bridge, Preston are seeking Trainee Accountants (Assistant Accountant Apprentices). This is a fantastic opportunity to join their friendly team for someone pursuing a career in Finance.

Key Functions

• We are looking for a trainee accountant to join out team. The role will ideally suit a candidate who is currently studying towards their AAT or wishes to begin studying their AAT.
• Assisting with preparation of VAT returns
• Assisting with the preparation of accounts to trial balance from client records
• Data Input into accounts production and completion of lead schedules
• Support the completion of basic personal tax returns including capital allowances
• Shadowing the completion of corporation tax returns
• Communication with clients in respect of missing information or requesting further information
• Learn to Property income and expense summaries
• Assist with payroll processing for company directors
• Admin duties such as filing, answering the telephone, franking the post etc.

• Posess good verbal and written communication skills

• Have a flair and develop an understanding of the importance for excellent attention to detail
• Have the ability to prioritise workloads
• Be proactive flexible positive attitude
• Work well under pressure
• Be computer literate
