Job Description

For over 40 years, Andrea Catton has been a Member of the British Institute & Association of Electrolysis. Andrea Catton Laser Clinic has the latest laser tattoo removal technology, and also offers IPL hair removal, acne scar reduction, freckle reduction, microdermabrasion and advanced electrolysis for the treatment of minor skin blemishes.

Andrea is trained and qualified to use Aculight HR IPL, Chromolite IPL, N-Lite laser, Ellipse, Episoft MD IPL, ADL Sapphire Nd:YAG, RevLite & PicoSure.

Andrea is also a member of the British Medical Laser Association and is fully qualified to teach IPL & laser hair removal.

What will the apprentice be doing?

The role will commence with;

Reception duties
Learning about our booking system and the treatments / products that we offer
Meet and greet clients
Booking appointments
Assisting therapists where necessary

This will gradually progress to treating clients when able to do so. Treatments such as radio frequency, microdermabrasion.

Once qualified, this will then lead to advanced aesthetic treatments such as laser, plasma, mesotherapy,

The clinic are also launching an inch loss treatment using low level lasers, combined with a range of products and supplements that the therapist can become involved in.

There are currently 2 qualified members of staff who work in the clinic.

The salon is open Tuesday – Saturday. Currently no evenings, but this may change with more staff.

Applicants must have achieved an NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy, as this role is a Level 3 Apprenticeship

Skills

Experience using computer booking software

Must be eager to learn, able to deal with clients

Have an intertest in what we do

Have an good understanding of what is expected of them in a clinic setting

A ‘can do’ attitude.

Work as part of the team

Personal Qualities

Polite, professional, looks the part, willing to go the extra mile, doesn’t think they know it all!

Qualifications

Will need to pass an initial assessment at Blackburn College

NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy is essential as this role is a Level 3 Apprenticeship

Things to Consider

Open Saturdays which is our busiest day. Could introduce evening shifts.
