Scrap Local, an award-winning tech-based business located in Rossendale BB4, is looking for a passionate and ambitious apprentice to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic organisation that is making a positive impact in the recycling industry.

As an apprentice, your main focus will be supporting the Business Operations Team, with occasional involvement in the marketing and sales activities. Your role will involve interacting with customers, both over the phone and via email, providing outstanding service and addressing their inquiries. Utilising our CRM system, you
will manage bookings and ensure accurate customer accounts.
Building relationships with our scrap car and metal agents is a crucial aspect of the role. These agents play a vital role in our recycling network, and by nurturing these
relationships, you will contribute to the success of our business. Meeting targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis will be an exciting challenge that drives us toward excellence.

What will I be doing ?

    • Supporting the Business operations Team with occasional involvement with marketing and Sales activities
    • Customer interaction both over the phone and via email
    • Learning to Provide outstanding service and addressing enquiries
    • Learn how to use and maintain the Company's CRM systems and other software systems.
    • Manage bookings and ensure customer accounts are accurate and up to date.
    • Liaising with clients by phone and email.
    • Updating case status on various software.
    • As you progress, you will assist the team with managing invoices and processing purchase orders.
What qualities we'd like you to have:

  • Ability to write information clearly and concisely, with accurate spelling and grammar
  • Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C or above) essential
  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade Grade 4/C or above) essential

  Things to Consider

   Can you travel to BB2 2QG 

   Depending on your previous experience you may be enrolled onto       the Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship.
