 The Role

The role will involve delivering effective teaching, learning and assessment at level 2, 3 and 4 to accounting learners, including commercial/funded adults and apprentices all studying Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualifications as part of their programme. Where needed delivery will also include programmes within the wider centre. Though this role is initially for 8 hours per week there may be potential to increase the number of hours depending on in year recruitment. There is also potential for online delivery.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a highly motivated, forward thinking Lecturer in AAT to join the apprenticeship team at Blackburn College to support our existing apprentices and help to grow this area of the apprenticeship provision. You should be AAT or ACCA Qualified (Level 4) or equivalent, with evidence of the practical application of accountancy disciplines in a workplace setting. You should also have a recognised teaching qualification (or currently be working towards). You should have experience of teaching in a further education environment have a strong awareness of current developments within your subject disciplines.

As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
