Taking your seats

Guests will need to be in your seats 30 minutes before the ceremony start time otherwise they will not be admitted. Guests who arrive late will not be permitted entry as this could disrupt the ceremony and cause delays therefore guests are advised to allow plenty of time. Please note that guest seating is not allocated (unless guests have special access requirements) so please ensure to arrive early to have a greater choice of seating. Please ensure all guests have their tickets.

Access arrangements

If you have specific access arrangements these should be booked with our Disabilty Advice Service in advance who will allocate you seats. On arrival at King George's Hall please make yourself known to our Disability Advice Service team who will show you to your assigned seats.

The ceremony

Guests are advised that each ceremony will last no more than 90 minutes. During this time guests should only leave their seats in case of an emergency. Unfortunately, any guests who choose to leave during the ceremony will not be permitted to re-enter the hall. This is to keep disruptions to the ceremony to a minimum.

Guests are welcome to take photographs throughout the ceremony but must remain seated whilst doing so.

Given the length and formal nature of the graduation ceremony, it is not suitable for young children as they may become restless and bored. Please bear this in mind if you plan to attend with young children. Should any children cause continual disruption to the ceremony, guests may be asked to leave.

At the end of the ceremony please wait for the graduates to leave the hall before making your after to the exits.
