Grade Achieved: 8 (GCSE Maths) and 4 (GCSE English)

"There are lots of support here at Blackburn College. From 1-to-1 support from tutors, life skills such as learning finances for the future, the free textbooks available to us on Moodle, feedback on practice papers and help on my weakest topics. My advice to anyone who is going for their GCSEs is to work hard and make use out of the support you receive from tutors, they're always willing to help you no matter what."

Grade Achieved: 5 (GCSE Maths) and 4 (GCSE English)

"My Maths teacher would go the extra mile to support me in my GCSEs and print things out in a different way so I'd understand it better, as I'm more of a visual learner, they went out of their way to support me when I was struggling."

Grade Achieved: 5 (GCSE English)

"The Tutors respect us and are always understanding. My advice to someone who might be nervous starting their GCSEs in College is to just go for it and work hard. You'll always receive help from tutors. I've been able to develop more confidence in writing assignments on my Professional Cookery course here at College. It's helped me develop confidence massively."

"The teachers and the Success Centre were able to find a way to make a strength out of our weaknesses, I couldn't have achieved my results with out them. There's also great study places here at College - from The Exchange to the Library. I'm grateful I am able to carry on and complete my Level 3 Catering and Hospitality course."
