Looking for a Business Admin apprenticeship?

The Membership Administrator will play a key role in supporting the Relationship Manager to ensure members receive an excellent experience from first contact through to ongoing engagement. This includes efficient on-boarding of new members, maintaining accurate membership records, responding to member queries and supporting activities that strengthen member relationships and network participation.

Scope of the Role

             Support the smooth administration of the membership journey, from initial enquiry to renewal.

             Assist in delivering member communications, events and engagement activities.

             Maintain and update the membership database to ensure data integrity.

             Provide administrative support to ensure timely and high-quality member services.

             Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure members are connected to relevant opportunities, resources and networks.

Key Responsibilities 

Membership Administration

             Process new member applications, ensuring all necessary documentation and information is received. Chasing returns where necessary.

             Prepare and issue welcome communications and member certificates

             Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records in the CRM database.

             Monitor membership renewals and issue renewal communications.

             Produce regular membership reports and analytics to inform engagement strategies.

Member Engagement Support

             Assist in planning and delivering member engagement calls, meetings, events, working groups, webinars and networking opportunities.

             Respond promptly to member queries, signposting them to relevant information, events or contacts.

             Gather member feedback and insights to help shape engagement initiatives.

Regional Working Group Administration

             Provide administrative support to the Regional Working Group Chairs, including organising virtual and in-person meetings, preparing and circulating agendas where appropriate and taking and distributing meeting minutes.

             Coordinate with Working Group Chairs, participants, and LCRIG members to manage and schedule presentation requests.

             Maintain up to date participant records, and ensure all meeting documentation is filed.

             Support the coordination of wider regional initiatives linked to the working groups as required.

Administrative and Organisational Support

             Support the Relationship Manager with projects and campaigns to develop and retain membership.

             Coordinate and manage member mailing lists

             Assist with preparing materials and presentations for member-related meetings.

            Undertake other duties relevant to the role as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

              Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.

              Experience using CRM systems or membership databases.

              Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

              Good written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and friendly manner.

              Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

              Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

              Commitment to providing high-quality customer service.

Desirable:

              Experience working in a membership organisation, professional body, customer services role or similar environment.

              Knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles.

              Experience in event coordination and delivery.

              Understanding of marketing and communications for member engagement.

Personal Attributes:

              Proactive and solution focused.

              Confident in dealing with a wide range of people.

Working Schedule:

35 hours, Monday – Friday (hours can be a mix of 8-4, 8.30-4.30, 9-5 with a 1 hour unpaid for lunch)

Required Qualifications:

GCSE Mathematics grade 4

GCSE English grade 4

Due to the nature of the role a Full UK Driving license and access to a car is required.

Other Information

Due to the occasional overnight stays applicants must be over the age of 18.
