A life-changing experience.
These educational trips with international work projects really provide that level of impact for our students. They provide an amazing opportunity to enjoy two weeks overseas experiencing everything another country and culture offers whilst providing unique curriculum-based work experience through amazing projects and workshops and demonstrations.
We’re proud of our students and the amazing things they deliver on the trips. Whilst they’re away they document their activities, and we’ve presented an overview of the trips below so you can see just what they undertake, and how valuable it is.
The College ensures that the trips are free for our students, covering all travel, transport and accommodation for them to ensure they are accessible to all. We provide full funding supported by the Turing Scheme via the Department for Education.

Explore the world. Expand your future.
At Blackburn College, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door, it stretches across continents. Our international work project trips give students the chance to step into new cultures, gain real‑world experience, and apply their skills in environments that challenge, inspire, and broaden their horizons.
Each journey is designed to strengthen confidence, independence, and ambition. Whether students are mastering culinary techniques in the French Alps, exploring creative traditions in Morocco, engineering solutions in Aruba, or investigating the natural world in Iceland, they return with sharper skills, global awareness, and a future‑focused mindset that sets them apart.
