Blackburn College are pleased to partner with Willowbrook Quality Homecare pursuit of their Adult Care apprentice.

Your role is to assist in the provision of care and support. You will work as part of the team to achieve required standards you will be located at one of Willowbrook’s Extra Care schemes based in Blackburn or Darwen. You will ensure that our client’s dignity, privacy and respect is maintained, providing a person-centred approach and promoting independence and support clients to participate in activities of daily living and maintaining safety.

Main responsibilities:

·         Assist clients with daily living activities are required, including assistance at mealtimes

·         Assist clients in all aspects of their care needs e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual

·         Interaction with clients and promotion of social activities

·         Ensure timely assistance is provided

·         Maintain timely, accurate, factual and contemporaneous documentation

·         Ensure person centred approach

 

Skills Required:

Excellent Communication, eager to learn and develop, team working

Qualifications Required:

Good understanding of written and verbal language

Personal Qualities: Kind, caring, compassionate, respectful, professional, wishes to make a positive difference to people’s lives

Training to be provided:

L2 Apprentice Adult Care Worker Standard

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship (1 day release for college)

Pay: £6.40, £7.55 from April 2025

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday -9am to 4pm

Holiday Entitlement: 28 days including bank holidays
