Blackburn College is delighted to be working in partnership with MSM Fabrications Ltd, located in Nelson.
MSM Fabrications specialise in advanced subcontract sheet metal fabrications. Our scope of supply covers all industrial sectors, such as conveying systems for food and materials handling, bakery equipment, powder handling, and process equipment.
With accreditations to the Ministry of Justice level, we also focus on highly regulated sectors, including nuclear, medical, and power generation.
We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Office / Accounts Administrator to join our team in Nelson. This is an important support role within the business, assisting with financial administration and day-to-day office operations. The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable, and confident carrying out accounts and administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Accounts Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Assisting accounts payable and receivable
- Reconciling customer payments on Sage
- Assisting with credit control and chasing outstanding payments
- Supporting month-end procedures
- Liaising with external accountants
Office Administration Responsibilities:
- Handling incoming calls and emails professionally
- Maintaining organised filing systems and company records
- Providing administrative support to management
- General office support as required
Personal Qualities:
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Sage
Required Qualifications: Maths and English at grade 4/C/ L2 Functional Skills
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship (1 day release for college)
Pay: £8 per hour
Expected Hours: As per the guidelines, full time
