Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our team. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT support while working towards an industry-recognised qualification. You will support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and network systems, providing first-line support to users, and gaining practical skills that will help kickstart your career in IT.

Key Responsibilities

·         Provide first-line IT support to employees, resolving hardware and software issues.

·         Assist in troubleshooting network and connectivity problems.

·         Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software.

·         Assist with user account management, including password resets and user access control.

·         Support the IT team in monitoring and maintaining IT systems.

·         Learn and apply cybersecurity best practices to help keep systems secure.

·         Document IT issues and solutions for future reference.

·         Assist with setting up and maintaining IT equipment such as printers, phones, and conferencing systems.

·         Participate in IT projects as required.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

·         Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows, Office365 and common software applications.

·         Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

·         Ability to manage tasks and prioritise workload

·         A basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking principles (WiFi, LAN, IP addressing).

·         Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·         A keen interest in IT and technology

·         Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Desirable

·         Previous experience with troubleshooting IT issues (even informally)

·         Familiarity with IT security best practices.

Entry Requirements

·         GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English

·         A relevant IT qualification is desirable but not essential

·         No prior professional IT experience is required, but any exposure to IT support or problem solving will be advantageous.

Level 3 IT Solutions Technician

Proposed Duration:

20 months

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship (1 day release for college)

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
