Access to Accounting

Unlock your potential with Access to Accounting. You'll be provided with various topics to ensure you have the key knowledge of Business, Law and Accounting. This includes aspects of finance, the English legal system, factors affecting business, and more. You'll learn skills that can help you gain an overview of how organisations work.

We're here to support your progression to higher level qualifications from BA (Hons) and HNC/Ds to an LLB right here at University Centre Blackburn College or elsewhere. This is your first step to industry and career success.

The course will focus on academic study skills including academic writing and referencing and critical thinking. The study skills will increase verbal and written communication skills essential for effective engagement with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

You should have a minimum of 2 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including English and Maths.

Our assessment methods include a variety of tasks to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of your skills and knowledge. These assessment methods may include reports, essays, presentations, and examinations

Once you've completed your Access to Accounting course, you're able to progress to undergraduate programmes in Accounting and other related fields.

Pursue degrees such as Business with Management, Accounting and Law.
