Overview
Engineering Level 1 is designed to provide specialist work-related knowledge in engineering. This qualification will give you the knowledge, understanding and skills to prepare you for further study, training and employment.
You will learn about various topics such as working in engineering, carrying out basic fitting techniques and carrying out basic turning techniques in addition to the right use of Maths and English in everyday use.
You will also learn through undertaking a variety of collaborative activities and research tasks. You will receive a number of mock tasks to measure your understanding and help prepare you for the formal assessment.
All tasks require a range of skills such as communication, organisation, independence, time management, planning and research. To achieve a Merit or Distinction Grade requires more detail including knowing how to explain, analyse, evaluate and justify.
