Job Role

A fantastic Apprenticeship opportunity has arisen to join Blackburn UK Trust, a charity dedicated to increasing brand awareness and donor recruitment. As a Business Administrator Level 2 Apprentice, you will support the smooth running of daily office operations while developing essential administrative, communication, and organisational skills.

This role offers hands-on experience in a busy office environment, working closely with colleagues across the organisation to provide efficient and professional administrative support. You will gain practical workplace experience while completing a Level 2 Business Administrator Apprenticeship, building the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in business administration.

Duties

  • Provide general administrative support including filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry.
  • Match online donation receipts to the correct supporters using CRM software.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems and databases.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, emails, and enquiries, directing them to the appropriate team members.
  • Prepare documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, booking meeting rooms, and managing diaries.
  • Welcome visitors and provide reception support when required.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Monitor office supplies and help keep the office tidy and organised.
  • Work with colleagues across different departments to support the charity's operations.
  • Follow organisational policies, confidentiality requirements, and administrative procedures at all times.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Skills

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload with guidance.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Ability to maintain records and use internal systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Pay

  • £8.00 per hour

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • 28 days annual leave

Duration

  • Full-time, fixed-term apprenticeship (minimum 12 months and 1 day)
