We give our students amazing opportunities to experience the world of work in their chosen career areas and to be placed with employers that will develop their skills.
What you will do
Your work experience or placement will be different depending on your course. Some courses, such as T-Levels, have extended industry placements. Others get involved in employer-led projects, solving real life business problems. They all provide a great way for you to develop work-based skills and understanding.
Gatsby Benchmarks
Our work experience and work placements give all students ‘meaningful encounters’ with employers and employees as well as experience of workplaces. This is aligned with the eight benchmarks that define world-class careers guidance for young people in England (Gatsby Benchmarks).
Work Placement Support
Our team of experienced work placement coordinators will work with you to help you find the right opportunity. We will visit you in tutorials throughout the year and you can find us any time in our dedicated Workzone.
