Looking for an apprentice to join a well establish service centre and Mot station. The successful applicant must demonstrate a strong passion for working in the motor trade. It is essential that you have completed at least Level 2 motor vehicle qualification to be successful on this apprenticeship. 

Job description

  • Workshop maintenance including cleaning duties 
  • Stock management
  • Vehicle fault diagnostics
  • Servicing
  •  Repairs
  • Some welding (once trained)
  • Complete associated paperwork
  •  Customer liaison
  • Supplier liaison
  • Test drive vehicles

Required Skills

  • Must be a self-starter and have some
  • knowledge of tools and vehicle components
  • Technical mindset
  • Passion for vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Ability to drive is essential

 Personal Qualities

  • Excellent work ethic
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative and seek support/advice where applicable
  • Ability to work flexibly and be a team player
  • Good communication skills verbal and written

Working Schedule

40 hours per weeks between 8.00 and- 5.00 possibly Saturday mornings.  

Required Qualifications

Maths and English minimum,

Motor vehicle qualification desirable but not essential as practical experience would be more useful.

Proposed Duration

33 Months

Future prospects

Progression to Level 3 and permanent role
