Blackburn College are pleased to partner with Stevens Traceability Ltd in pursuit of their next IT Apprentice.

Job Overview

The IT Apprentice will provide first-line technical support, internal and external clients of the business. The role offers structured training and professional development, with exposure to key business systems.

The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining secure, efficient IT operations while developing the technical and professional skills required for a long-term IT career.

Key Responsibilities

·         Handling inbound support telephone calls and customer enquiries.

·         Creating and managing support tickets from incoming calls and emails.

·         Monitoring and maintaining the Support Request Inbox.

·         Managing ticket queues to ensure efficient service delivery.

·         Escalating support tickets in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

·         Providing customers with updates on ticket progress and resolution status.

·         Assisting colleagues with internal IT queries and technical issues.

·         Supporting the maintenance and administration of software systems such as Outlook, SharePoint, and 3CX.

·         Assisting with the maintenance and performance monitoring of IT hardware, servers, and related infrastructure.

·         Recording and updating support documentation where required.

·         Learning and applying IT support best practices and troubleshooting techniques.

·         Is confident using Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.

·       Qualifications

Entry requirements are a minimum of 4 GCSEs (or Equivalent) including Maths, English & Science.

Training to be Provided by Blackburn College

Level 3 IT Solutions Technician

Proposed Duration:

20 months

Job Types:

Full-time, Apprenticeship (1 day release for college)

Salary:

£8.00 (hourly rate)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 9- 5 37.5hr week
