City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Machining Apprenticeship

Precision Machining Ltd is a well-established, small team delivering bespoke specialist CNC components. Operating from a unit based at Clayton Le moors. The team is small and looking to expand due to business growth. They are looking to recruit an apprentice who is passionate about engineering and developing technical skills through learning practical skills in the workplace and at college. As a team everyone gets involved with all areas of the manufacturing process, from programming to assembly and shipment. The ideal applicant will learn all aspects of the manufacturing process, from programming to assembly and shipment. The ideal applicant will learn all aspects of the manufacturing and design process.
Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and operating manual CNC machining equipment.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using callipers, micrometres, and other precision instruments.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and consistency.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and tools.
- Document work performed maintaining accurate records.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required persona protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in classroom and on-the-job training sessions as part of the apprenticeship programme.
- Work Collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.

Entry Qualifications required:

- GCSE Maths Grade 5
- GCSE English Grade 4
- GCSE Science at Grade 4 preferred
- Further two GCSE 's at Grade 4 or above preferably Science
Things to Consider:
Undertake a 4 year Apprenticeship studying towards the Level 3 Machining Technician includes a day at college.
