V-Levels

A New Vocational Route to Your Future

V-Levels will become a new Level 3 qualification designed to sit alongside A-Levels and T-Levels, giving students a clear vocational pathway into higher education, employment and future careers.

V-Levels have been introduced as part of the Government's plans to create clearer choices for young people and provide qualifications that are valued by employers, colleges and universities. They are ideal for students who enjoy practical, applied learning and want to explore a career sector before specialising.

What are V-Levels?

V-Levels are broad vocational qualifications that combine industry-relevant knowledge with practical learning. Each V-Level is equivalent in size to one A-Level, giving students the flexibility to study a full programme of V-Levels or combine them with A-Levels to create a study programme that reflects their interests and ambitions.

Unlike T-Levels, which focus on a specific occupational route and include a substantial industry placement, V-Levels allow students to explore a wider sector and build transferable skills that can support a range of progression opportunities.
