Exams for GCSE English and Maths will be held in May and June. Please note the dates and times below.
Students will receive instructions from their tutor regarding registration, and an email from the Exams Department confirming their exam room, seat number, and any approved access arrangements. We will also mail a postcard with this key information to their home address.
As these are written exams, learners must bring a black pen to complete their answers.
Exam dates: Summer 2026
English exams
- English Paper 1 – Thursday 21 May
- English Paper 2 – Friday 5 June
Students should arrive between 8am and 8.30am so they can be ready and seated in good time. All exams start at 9.30am.
Maths exams
- Maths Paper 1 – Thursday 14 May
- Maths Paper 2 – Wednesday 3 June
- Maths Paper 3 – Wednesday 10 June

Preparing for the exams
In preparation for these exams, students are expected to attend all their timetabled English and Maths lessons, as well as intervention sessions and revisions sessions. This is a valuable time to build on the progress they have made previously.

Revision sessions
We are running a range of revision sessions to provide additional support and preparation.
We strongly encourage all students sitting exams to attend for tutoring and any scheduled revisions sessions. These sessions really do make a difference that is reflected in the results.

Registering attendance at the exams
On the morning of the exams, student must to go to their meeting point between 8am to 8.30am to register their attendance. Meeting points differ for individual students, so they must check their own location carefully.
