Supportive, encouraging, passionate.

What made you decide to study at Blackburn Sixth Form?

The range of options available at A levels, location of the college and good reputation of its A level department.

What did you like best about Blackburn Sixth Form? And why!

I enjoyed the subjects that I studied. I found that the college was very passionate about its courses and made it their mission to really encourage their students to do their best during their time there. The tutors were also very supportive. I was also provided with many opportunities by the college, this included: attending the Battle of Ideas in London, trips to New York City, Poland and Uganda.

What was the best thing about your course?

I think the tutors. They really made the subjects that I studied enjoyable and whenever I needed help, all my tutors were approachable and supportive. Having this strong support system whilst studying rather challenging subjects made my course a lot easier. I believe that this contributed to the final grades that I received as well the offers I received from universities.

What did you think of the campus - the atmosphere, the facilities, how safe you felt?

I felt very safe. As for the campus, I particularly enjoyed the various areas that the college had for students to hang out during lectures/lessons. I also liked the fact that the college was so close to the town centre as it meant that there was plenty to do outside of college and even during college hours where I had breaks during lessons.

What are you doing now?

I am currently a Trainee Solicitor at Squire Patton Boggs (UK) LLP in London.

Did you do anything in between leaving college and what you are doing now?

Yes, I attended the University of Reading to study a Law degree, I then went on to study my Masters in International Business and Commercial Law at the University of Manchester. After this, I carried out various paralegal jobs at law firms and companies and during this time I also completed the Legal Practice Diploma at the University of Law.
