Blackburn College celebrates a fantastic Ofsted result

The result recognises the college's excellent learning environment, student experience, and employer partnerships. The report also confirms  Blackburn College is an exceptional place to study, work, and grow; where ambition is nurtured, success is celebrated, and futures are built.

This is a huge achievement for students, staff, and employer partners, reflecting the incredible progress we’ve made since the last inspection in 2022.

 What Ofsted had to say:

• Adult students, many of whom begin their courses far from the job market, make outstanding progress. 
• Students make excellent progress on their courses, and their achievement is high. 
• Tutors and assessors are experts in their fields. 
• Leaders are relentless in their efforts to improve the outcomes for students and apprentices. 
• Students’ lives are transformed because of what they learn on their courses. 
• Leaders collaborate exceptionally well with a wide range of employers and partners to ensure that they meet the future needs of key industries.
