Travel and Tourism students say Bonjour to Paris
Six Travel and Tourism students combined learning experience with life experience as they visited all the major tourism spots in the ‘City of Lights’.
Paris’s stunning scenery and rich culture provided the perfect backdrop for the Blackburn College students to put their knowledge into practice. The Level Three Travel and Tourism curriculum covers a wide range of topics including ‘Global Destinations’, ‘Specialist Tourism’ and ‘Managing Accommodation Services’. The trip catapulted their course material into reality through real-world examples which provided a deeper understanding of their subject. Once you combine that with the joy of visiting Disneyland and The Eiffel Tower, it’s a brie-lliant success!
Accompanied by T&T staff members Emma Turvey and Paige Brogan, they explored the appeal of Paris as a global destination and they left no stone unturned. From exploring the cities transport links, visitor attractions and using Air France Airline, they had the ultimate Parisian adventure.
You can see pictures in our gallery below of the students visiting highlights such as Disneyland, the Eiffel Tower, and the world-renowned Louvre museum, home to countless works of historic art, including the famous "Mona Lisa."
The experience also underlined Blackburn College’s commitment to supporting student growth and development. During the trips, students had the opportunity to learn valuable life skills in addition to their course studies, fostering a well-rounded educational experience and one they will remember for a long time.
