Congratulations! Your hard work is almost over and you'll soon be graduating and celebrating your success.
So be sure to save the date! Graduation will take place on Tuesday 20 October 2026 at Blackburn Cathedral.
You will be able to register for your ceremony from 9 June.
Your ceremony
On the day there will be three ceremonies:
- 10.30am Ceremony
- 1.00pm Ceremony
- 3.30pm Ceremony
Which ceremony you attend depends on which course you have completed. Your invitation email will confirm which ceremony you will be attending, but you can also see a list of which courses attend which ceremony.

Graduation day schedule
The time you will need to arrive, collect your cap and gown, etc, is based on the ceremony you'll be attending.
We will share the schedules for the day with you shortly, both here on the Graduation webpages and directly via email.
Graduation Celebration
Following your ceremony, you are invited to attend a celebration with refreshments and entertainment. The afterparty will be held in The Curve, UCBC. All graduates, family and friends are welcome!
Online registration
To attend Graduation, you must register online. You do not have to wait for your results to register.
Your online registration will open on 9 June. Keep an eye on your email as we will send you a personalised link for easy access.
Registration will close on Tuesday 15 September. Please make sure you have registered by then to avoid missing out – we are unable to accept late registrations.
During your online registration you will be able to order your cap and gown, book guests tickets, and confirm any photography packages you would like. You must book your gown hire to be able to attend.
Your tickets
We are using digital e-tickets this year, both for your own graduate ticket and for guest tickets. These will be made available to you the week before Graduation.
Number of guest tickets
Everyone graduating will be able to book up to two guest tickets initially.
Following the close of registration we will open up any remaining tickets on a first come first served basis. This will be for up to a further two guest tickets per graduating student. Should any tickets still be available they will be made available on a first come first served basis.
We will notify you via email in advance of additional tickets becoming available. You will be able to book/add tickets via your online registration.
This approach ensures fair access to guest spaces for everyone graduating.
Price of tickets
Guest tickets cost £12.50 each.
Tickets for graduating students are free.
Blackburn Cathedral
The Cathedral is a wonderful venue for Graduation. It will also host gowning, professional photography, and graduation celebrations.
Graduation ceremonies are non-religious events.

Parking
There is no parking available on site – either at Blackburn Cathedral or the College.
The nearest car park is the multi-storey on Fielden Street which is next to the Sports Centre.
