Blackburn College are pleased to partner with Speedy Service Auto Ltd in pursuit of their next L2 Auto care Apprentice.
Speedy Service Auto Ltd is looking for an apprentice to join the small team of auto technicians. Role is primarily focused on German brands, and it is to be expected that that the apprentice will have at least a Level 1 Motor vehicle qualification, and possess the enthusiasm to support the team during their learning journey.
Job description
The duties and responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to the following:
· Workshop maintenance including cleaning duties
· Stock management
· Vehicle fault diagnostics
· Servicing
· Repairs
· Some welding (once trained)
· Complete associated paperwork
· Customer liaison
· Supplier liaison
Skills Required
Basic knowledge of tools and vehicle components
Personal Qualities
Excellent work ethic
Ability to work later shifts to accommodate the opening times of the business (1pm till late (8-hour shifts)
Good communication skills verbal and written
Qualifications Required: Level 1 essential – level 2 preferred
Things to Consider: Will be required to work from 1pm till late as the garage opens between 1pm and 1am.
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days
Future Prospects: Progression to Level 3 and permanent role
