Overview
This course gives a good technical training and education providing a vocational alternative to A Levels and the opportunity for successful students to progress to Higher Education.This qualification is for you if you are 16 years or older and want to work with animals. It provides you with a range of specialist technical practical skills and knowledge which will equip you to seek employment or further learning and training within the animal care and management industries. -
What will I study?
You will study the following modules:
- Health and wellbeing, husbandry and handling
- Nutrition and feeding
- Animal behaviours and communication

Breed development, breeding and welfare

Principles of health and safety

Undertake and review work related experience in the land-base industries. (150 hours work experience evidence required)
