This course is for those with a keen interest in the subject. Develop your skills and experience at drawing from life using the local urban landscape of Blackburn as a subject and starting point for your work.

What will I study?

Come and join us on organised drawing sessions, using the Blackburn landscape as our starting point.

The Beacon building affords spectacular views of the surrounding area, and these views will form the basis for our early sessions, before we move to ‘ground’ level.

Demonstrations will form the basis of what to look for in the landscape, developing focus for your drawing and providing an insight into managing the sheer complexity of our wonderful and dramatic landscape!

The course is designed to meet your individual needs, whatever your experience.

Most materials are provided, especially in the early stages of the course, though a range of pencils and an A5 notebook would be most useful.
