This assessment will enable gas engineers to expand their scope of work to include the installation, exchange and removal of domestic gas meters.
A re-assessment of (MET1) Gas Meters Safety Assessment to U6, which is required every five years, is also available at a reduced cost.

What will I study?
Training is available if required, prior to carrying out the Gas Meters Safety Assessment.

Entry requirements
Candidates must already be accredited with either (CNN1) Domestic Gas Safety, (COCDN1) Change over from Commercial Core to Domestic and (COCN1) Core Commercial Gas Safety or (CCCN1) Core Commercial Catering Gas Safety
Non-domestic engineers can undertake MET1, without the need for CCN1, but only if they encounter domestic sized appliances within non-domestic premises.

Candidates may consider looking to add appliances such as (CKR1) Cookers, (HTR1) Fires & Heaters etc. to expand their scope of work.
