    The Skills for Growth Adults Media and Communication Entry Level 1 course is designed for adults who want to build confidence in communication, develop digital skills and explore the exciting world of media.

    You will learn how different forms of media influence our daily lives, develop speaking and listening skills, create digital content, and gain practical experience using creative technologies. Through hands-on projects and collaborative activities, you'll build employability skills while developing confidence, creativity and communication abilities that can be used in everyday life, further study or the workplace.

    As part of the course, you will create a media campaign that promotes a topic, event or issue that matters to your local community. 

    Project activities include: 

    • Research a chosen topic  
    • Plan a media campaign  
    • Create posters and digital content  
    • Take photographs and develop visual materials  
    • Produce simple video or audio content  
    • Present ideas to an audience  
    • Reflect on the impact of the campaign
  • Entry Requirements

    There are no formal qualifications required for this course. Applicants should have an interest in administration, office work and developing workplace skills. An initial assessment and discussion will help ensure the course is suitable for your individual needs and goals.
