Residential and commercial buildings need plaster – and if you enrol on a Plastering course at Blackburn College, you will learn the necessary techniques required to go forward with this skill.
A versatile career choice, skilled Plasterers might go on to work for someone else or for themselves; either way, it can be a lucrative option for those who want to enter a much-needed trade.
Amongst their many skills, Plasterers cut and fix plasterboard to ceilings and walls, in preparation for a decorator to further transform the space. Plasterers tape standard and internal joints and prepare surfaces before Plastering. They do this using boarding plaster and finishing plaster, which allows for a flat, smooth surface for the application of paint or wallpaper.
If you enjoy working with your hands and think Plastering is for you, sign up for a course on our modern campus here in Blackburn. Meet others like yourself and learn a skill for life. You can even use the techniques you learn to work on your own house – or a family or friend’s property. Whether you want to learn the skill of Plastering for fun or to help open the door to a new career, we can help.
