• Overview

  Designed for experienced housing professionals who manage a service, function, team or area of responsibility. The apprenticeship develops senior practitioners who lead people and services, manage resources, improve performance and take responsibility for the quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness of their business area.

• What will I study?

  Who is it for?

  For employees with genuine responsibility for people, services, resources or a defined housing function.

  • Managers or senior officers responsible for a team, service or specialist function.

  • Experienced housing professionals moving into greater leadership responsibility.

  • Existing managers seeking a sector-specific professional qualification and structured development.

  • Employees with sufficient scope to lead improvement and evidence senior-level practice.

  What your employee will develop

  Development is applied to the employee’s own service area and leadership responsibilities.

  • Housing legislation, regulation, ethics and professional practice.

  • Leadership, people management, team development and change.

  • Business planning, finance, risk, resources and organisational priorities.

• Entry Requirements

  No formal entry requirements however must pass the initial assessment to gain entry.

• How will I be assessed?

  Formative assessment.

  1.Completion of an agreed regulated qualification (recommended)/ or an assessment of knowledge

  2.Completion of English and mathematics at Level 2

  3.A portfolio of evidence developed through a formative assessment process

  4.Work based project (mandatory as assessed at end point)

  End Point Assessment.
