What made you decide to study at University Centre Blackburn College?
I looked around at a few different places to study and I needed it to be close because I've got a little girl. I also saw that it was validated by Lancaster University and I thought it'd look better to jobs in the future.
What did you like best about University Centre Blackburn College?
I think it's the small class sizes and the tutors that I had. They've been really great all through the course. They've been really welcoming and helpful with everything and if I've ever had a problem they've been really great to deal with.
What did you like best about your course?
I think again it's the tutors because during COVID it was quite difficult but they made the online tasks we had to do quite simple and also made sure that we knew they were there if they needed.
What did you think about the campus - the atmosphere, the facilities and how safe it was?
I thought it was great! It was quite compact compared to other universities so it's easy to get around. I also like the fact that it's just so close to the centre.
What are you doing now?
I'm working with people with multiple disadvantages such as homelessness, substance misuse and criminal justice intervention to try and get them back on the right path. What I did at Uni was needed as what I learned helped me deal with the skill gap.
